Great Plains High School AU: Chapter Five

Savin frowned as they walked into the funeral home. Jazz bit his lip as they were directed towards Ryin’s casket. This was real. This was really happening.

'I'm surprised there's a fucking viewing,' Dylan murmured. )

Oh, Dylan, you are so...you. I loved his response to the "how did you know you liked guys?" question. He seems like the kind of person who would figure that out relatively quickly and easily. I don't know exactly how his discovery of his bisexuality happened in canon, but I bet it was something very much like what you described here.

And Jazz, you are definitely not the only one whom the gods creep out. They kinda creep me out, and I created the assholes! They really are assholes, so I'm glad Jazz and Dylan were able to intervene when Egan went after Savin again. Poor Savin, though! The AU is not kind to him, is it? Sorry my characters are so horrible, Savin.

Aw to Jazz and Savin at the end of this. And Jazz seems like he's figuring things out now, though it should be interesting to see just how much he figures out in relation to Savin's feelings for him.

Yeah, Dylan just doesn't seem like the type who really put much thought into it. Just, oh yeah, both of the sexes are *hot* lolol.

Savin is really getting the brunt of it in the AU. Which I'm okay with, he doesn't get a lot of the truly horrible things happening to him in AU's. ;) But I felt so bad for him here -- and I was actually surprised with how Jazz stood up to Egan like that. Guess that dumb bravery thing is still intact when he's 14, lol.

I think he knows now that he likes boys (or at least, a boy). Whether he'll be aware of Savin's feelings or not -- well, that depends on how Savin handles his own crush, lololol. Which, well -- we've seen how awkward and NOT SMOOTH Savin is...

Ugh, poor Savin bb. No one should have to go through that once, let alone twice. I like that you left most of the details to the reader's imagination in this case.

I was impressed with Jazz in this chapter, both for finally breaking through his denial and for being smart enough to figure out that Savin was in trouble. Even though he wouldn't normally have the power to stop a god, I think the shock factor makes the outcome feel reasonable, especially when Dylan also showed up. Because even though Egan technically could take all of them down, once you've got more than one or two people involved, there's also the question of what they're going to tell people. And while he feels it's his right to do what he wants, can he really be sure he won't get in trouble if he's caught?

And awwww, Jazz and Savin at the end. So cuuuute. <3

I didn't want to give details. Savin probably wouldn't let me give details even if I tried. JAZZ wouldn't have let me give details. lol. I don't think Jazz even processed what was really going on minus the fact that Savin was begging Egan not to.

Yeah, I figured Egan wouldn't back down until another person showed up. I think Dylan knew something was up with his brother and was trying to see what was going on. And Egan knew that three against one could lead to more trouble for him.

And I knoooow. They're even cuter as teens, I swearrrrr.
