[Ahiru floats out onto a lake in her duck form, fog swirling around her as she does. She paddles in the lake for a moment, drifting, before raising up on her webbed feet and curving her wings into the air. With the water somehow supporting her weight, she slowly began to dance by herself, every now and then looking over her shoulder as if expecting

[San enters the foggy lake landscape and stalks around, trying to find her way.

She does notice the lone duck on the lake.]

Ah! Hello, friend.

[quackingly]

[The duck slowly turns around and tilts her head before responding.]

Hello...?

[rideswithwolves]

[San crouches at the edge of the lake and smiles.]

Are you all alone?

[quackingly]

[Ahiru lowers herself back down onto the lake and paddles over to San.]

I guess so. I am right now, anyway. This is silly, she won't really be able to understand me, will she?

[rideswithwolves]

I can keep you company.

[She lowers her hand in a manner to pet Ahiru's head, but looks at her questioningly.]

May I?

[quackingly]

Oh...well, okay! I guess she really does understand me. [Ahiru bends her head and glances up, trying to communicate that she's fine with San petting her.]

[rideswithwolves]

Good.

[San smiles again and begins petting Ahiru's soft feathers, careful so as to not ruffle them.]

[quackingly]

[Ahiru blushes a little don't ask me how a duck can blush, apparently she can XD, bobbing in the water contently as she's pet.]

You're a very nice lady. What's your name?

I'm San. And you?

[She smiles again.]

[quackingly]

Ahiru. It's nice to meet you!

[rideswithwolves]
