Sometimes I have that revelation about being diabetic. Most of the time, honestly, it's more of an annoyance than anything else. But every now and again something happens that actually makes me remember.

As I'm sure is already obvious, today was one of those days.

After all that I'd agree that it's worth it to have the back up pen/plan. Way to give 'em hell and definitely glad it all worked out in the end.

I'm glad it did too. It seems unthinkable that they'd give me such trouble, and I'm glad it happened on a day that I had to time to deal with it.

I'm glad you have a back-up now too, and I'm glad your inherited Wayne-ness was helpful. That's really scary, and I'm glad you were able to handle it so well. I need to go clean or something now, because my adrenaline is all crazy from being indignantly outraged at Kaiser for you.

Sometimes emulating Dad is so helpful. I'm just glad that the actual professional that I interacted with wasn't an idiot.
