Haven't seen the ep yet. I figure they had to burn the body not because it was packed with Time Lordy secrets, but to hide the fact that it was the meatpuppet. Having read your posting I now suspect that River became one Flesh with him, in the manner of Rose Tyler and PC Handy, he he he. >:)
