Reminds me of the seller who shipped me a Japanese teabowl from the UK, complete with its original paulownia box, without putting any packing in the box whatsoever. Yeah, a porcelain bowl in a hard wooden box. I reckon it was in pieces before it left his home town.
And sure, refund, but it's still frustrating as hell.
The seller sounds like an older man, and I'm guessing that he's probably sent a lot of single books in padded envelopes before and never had any trouble with them. Boxed items sent through media mail are a whole other ballgame, though.
And NOW I'm having trouble with the feedback because I accidentally left him feedback that was intended for another seller and now it's not letting me give him the correct feedback AURGH SAGA.
