last night i was reaching over to pick miyuki up off the back of her chair when my foot caught on the pile of phone books waiting to be recycled and almost took the nail off the fourth toe on my right foot

This is the second time in an hour that I've seen someone talk about finger- or toenail injuries on LiveJournal. It has definitely reminded me that I don't like them.

I suspect they're right - that's the kind of sensory non-response *I* should be expecting to get, not you!

(although having said that, as I *still* pick my toenails with rather less than surgical precision, I often have the same messy outcome but tend not to treat it as diligently unless I find my sock's turned red at the end of the day!)

alas, my tube of neosporin is two years past its date, and i'm out of money until i get my next check (which, with any luck, will be today). *hopes*
