This is the second time in an hour that I've seen someone talk about finger- or toenail injuries on LiveJournal. It has definitely reminded me that I don't like them.

The twinging is definitely good. It's when you do that and it *doesn't* twinge you need to worry.

I suspect they're right - that's the kind of sensory non-response *I* should be expecting to get, not you!

(although having said that, as I *still* pick my toenails with rather less than surgical precision, I often have the same messy outcome but tend not to treat it as diligently unless I find my sock's turned red at the end of the day!)

Ow. Keep it really clean and use antibacterial ointment under the bandage for a while rather than plain petroleum jelly.

Two years out of date is still better than nothing. It's probably still at least somewhat effective. Hope that toe feels better and the check shows up!
