"Dude, I love you," Dean says fervently when he rifles through the takeout bag Cas'd reappeared with. Unlike Sam, Castiel never bought him grilled chicken sandwiches or spinach wraps or whatever else bullshit gateway-food-to-a-healthier-diet he thought Dean needed. No, Cas always sprang for the good stuff. In the bag Dean'd found about a pound's worth of shredded pork, slaw, thick fries-the works. And in a smaller container, whipped cream had been melting over a piece of still-warm shoofly pie. His reaction was entirely justified.
Just as he's about to take his first bite, Castiel lays a hand on his shoulder and says, "I love you too, Dean." He glances up, and the dude's completely serious.
