That was lovely. The idea of Ianto's life being a mess except for the bits he needed Jack to see is really touching. I can really see this as being the way it was.

Thank you :) Jack strikes me as an incredibly complex person hiding behind a simple exterior or charm and sex. But if you look at what he's doing, and what he used to be, there's quite a bit of "thinky stuff" going on there ;)

This was really well done. The contrast of Ianto at work versus Ianto at home was really powerful - as if by the time he got home he just didn't have the energy to do it anymore - even if he wanted to. Very well done. I'd love to see a sequel to this!

Exactly! Can you imagine having to go through the torture of pretending things were so fine you didn't mind picking up other people's crap everyday while keeping a horrendous secret and looking after your invalid girlfriend? As if you would have time to bother looking after yourself when you got home.. I think Ianto just wouldn't care about caring for himself unless it came under the guise of keeping up the pretense.
