Finally called the blog contest today. Later than I promised in the contest post (Saturday) due to a cold medicine coma. But it seems to have worked out in the end, the winner is quite pleased :-)

I didn't realize you wanted signal boosting. I'd have spread a link around if I knew. Since you go to jewelry cons and stuff, I was under the impression that you have a far bigger 'audience' for your shinies than I have access to people in general at this point. I guess I was a doof and made assumptions when I shouldn't've. Sorry. :(

I should also check LJ more often. X_X

S'ok. I haven't actually vended at a con in over a year, and I'm not active in any jewelry comms or conventions. I still have a couple of friends from those scenes who helped out with the signal boosting, but the majority didn't, and that was a suprise for me too :-/

I guess most of the con folk aren't going to help me unless I'm using my stuff to promote their stuff (books, movies, music, shows, charity drives, etc), even if I already have in the past. But now I'm less inclined to do that.

LJ is a ghost town these days, I guess the instant gratification of Facebook and Tumblr have drawn away the masses ;-)

Ghost town indeed. I only haunt here now because I have a built-in readership from years of only LJing (though how many are actually active and reading is kind of a question mark these days). I do the auto crosspost from Wordpress because it's easier than just telling people to check my website every day. I also have to visit LJ itself to edit the entries individually, to take out the unnecessary line breaks that WP seems to enjoy adding when the crosspost happens. Maybe I should try another addon, but eh...I kinda like needing to come back and edit. Gives me a reason to check my other lists here.
