After a week of stress and angst, I had a wonderful evening last night with Wolfling. A local theater group was doing Private Lives and she said without hesitation that she would rather go with her mother to watch Noel Coward than attend the first dance of the year at her junior high. Because he and his girlfriend eloped back in June. They had a private, secret, legal ceremony with only Wolfling and A's grown kid in attendance.

I only found out because Wolfling slipped and said something. Then I agreed to keep it secret until a month ago when it became public.

The Ex had been seeing A for I'm-not-sure-how-long -- but long enough for me to be comfortable with her and feel good about her interactions with Wolfling. I think he's nuts to be getting married a third time, but she may be his best choice of a partner to-date.

So long as any partner of his treats my daughter well, I consider everything else Not My Problem.

It sounds like you and Wolfling had a most excellent time!

pathdancer and I went to see Private Lives on opening night. I thought that during Act II she was going to fall out of her chair.

The marriage of your Ex wasn't totally secret - we knew about it just after it happened but were keeping it under cover until it became generalized knowledge.
