Sometimes the TV is an ideal medium for just sitting back and not taking things too seriously. Obviously, Channel 5's Top 10 Carry-on moments last night was not taking things too seriously, but I was pleased to see Carry-On Up The Khyber taking the top spot.

I watched it last night and rather enjoyed it with a few nit-picks:

Moving a Cambridge College to Oxford (Christ's), people not wearing gowns in the lecture/seminar (mandatory in the 1960s IIRC) & the inevitable (and traditional) identity of the murderer.

Morse was a bit too much of a smart arse for a rookie, and his senior officers a rather too indulgent of the newbie. I certainly preferred it to Lewis.

But fun. I kept failing to recognise which college they were using for filming which was a little annoying.

A lot of it was certainly Merton, though I think Oriel might have made an appearance as well.

I'd clocked the exterior shot of Oriel, but was sure that the interior shots were not there so Merton (which I barely know) is plausible.

The cobbled/paved quad is a giveaway, and it's been used in Morse quite regularly.
