Only if the onsen is mixed-sex. If the bathhouse was restricted to men, Judaism has no problem with it. See, for example, the mikvah.

Oh, that's interesting. Muslim men aren't supposed to be naked in front of anyone, even other men.

The news articles didn't mention whether it was a mixed-sex onsen or not.

Yes, but practicing Muslim is not likely to be ridiculed for coming to a cocktail party and not drinking alcohol. By not anybody with half a brain, anyway.

Nor is an American likely to be ridiculed for not sleeping with a prostitute. I imagine in both situations it happens from time to time, though.

Well, prostitution is a business present in any Czech city local business directory and the defendant was acquainted with this fact so I only think he was looking for a strong reason to suit his company and gain some money. Team building concept has different connotations around the world.
