Wheee, yet another QR banned person. And I got banned for thoughtcrime, for daring to point out that quite a lot of the people in the QR comm embrace hypocrisy. Hmm, come to think of it, by the phrasing of the rule I was banned for at the time I was banned, I shouldn't have been banned. I would say under how thoughtcrime was detected and enforced in 1984 - that you picked the right term.

So far this place has been a breath of fresh air. Mind you my encounters with communities have been offline - not on.
Personal encounters suggest these hypocracies are quite common.

mind you - personal encounters ALSO say that some communities are remarkably good. There's a whole passel of folks out on the Wet Coast (BC) who nicely show that folks CAN be open and welcome. There's a similar passel of folks I've chatted with online (LJ) who demonstrate it as well. (at least some of them are here in this community)

what's funny is, they probably are watching this, now that they've banned at least three, possibly four members in one day.

They've already banned all of us from the other comm, not like they can DO anything to us!

To the new member, hi! I see they're culling the herd of sensible people again. Can't wait to see what other rants are going to occurr. Hopefully, I will be a little more clear in them than recently. :)
