The battle at the Somme continues and amidst the furore ancient moments of the past reveal themselves. The troops have been highly dis-spirited of late due to the appalling weather but nil desperandum, rainbows have been aplenty. I have only five more days of service to fulfill this year for which I am immensely thankful
