Here is a scathing review about a story of a hypothetical conflict called the "Falklands War," in which the UK and Argentina get in a fight over some small islands in 1982.
While agree with most of the reviewer's criticisms of this series, I should note that the accusations of not caring about logistics are way off base. The loss of the container ship was important, not just for the dramatic scenes of attack, forlorn damage control and rescue of survivors, but because so much of the expeditionary force's supplies were on board.
Not only that, but the desperate Vulcan mission did achieve its aim, that of disabling the Port Stanley airfield, which meant... the Argentine Army was cut off from the mainland logistical support. This had a dramatic effect on their morale, as did the Brits demonstrating that they had a strategic capability that could reach the Falklands. This was all explained in the penultimate and final episodes, if the reviewer had only stayed awake.
