Now, that's a nice story. I love this imagery: Besides, if he had been barred from Eden, then who better to lead him onward than a fallen Angel? - so apt!! I like the last paragraph w/ Hermione there - sort of insinuates that they're an old married couple, although Severus is only 50. Definitely reveals their closeness and content with each other. I hope he is happy for the rest of his days!

Thank you very much. I definitely wanted to relay the sense of comfort that Severus gained from his relationship with Hermione; that even though this wasn't the hot passion of his youth, it was something deeper and more satisfying, so I'm glad that came across. :-)

The images you conjure up are so wonderful. Heart wrenching and beautiful. You have a spun a wonderful tale here, for sure!

I liked your descriptions of the pain of losing his first love, of how he was seduced into being a DE, how he eventually made friends with Albus, and how he's finally settled for happiness in his life with Hermione. Well, I guess that was everything. Ha ha.

Thank you for reading and all your wonderful compliments! It was all written a bit last minute, so am still not happy with my overexuberant use of metaphors, but I'm glad it seems to resonate with people, and have kind of lost the motivation to return to this story to revise it, tbh. Got so many other fanart and fanfic projects to work on, and RL is busy too.
