That imagery in the begining, gaaahhh! I loved all of it of course, but that was one of my favorite things. And the end-the end punched me in the gut. Like, this fic totally sums up why Poland is pretty much the strongest badass motherfucker in Hetalia to me! I aspire to write even 1/10th as well as you one day.
I'd quote my favorite bits at you, because Poland is so fucking quotable, but, yknow, I'd have to give you every single thing Poland said then and...yeah. *pointsat above fic* All of that!
Desire to learn Polish, in addition to the Russian and French I aspire to, just increased about 500%. And I need a Poland icon. Yeah.

A-ahh... *hides under desk* Please don't say things like that! They are just words, I write them down, you can do it too. D=
And I need a Poland icon.
Everybody does! I'm shopping for a third one. XD

And on top of all the great characterization there is, this is also historical. You never fail to impress.
He touched everything as he went: tables, chair backs, the covers of books.
I haven't the faintest idea why, but I am absolutely in love with this line. It's just so France. Gives me shivers.

Dude, just writing France feels like letting a piece of really rich chocolate dissolve on my tongue, or something. He just kind of is decadent. And thoughtful and callous and vaguely exploitive, but self-aware enough that it all comes off light and airy and you can't hold it against him. I have so much fun with him.
And yes, you need a France icon. Everybody needs a France icon.
