I'll agree with that comment, and add some of my own.

I like how you characterized France here--that he lived for as long as he did by being smart. I like how he tries to piece together what's wrong, and that it's still too late.

But again, I love Italy. I love how he's talking like (Feliciano)Italy, but he's also talking like (Mafia)Italy. It's really a head-trip for me each time. And gods, when he pulled out the switchblade, you had all of my attention right then too. (The sound effects, the sound effects . . I could see how Italy was moving because I could -hear- the knife opening and closing! And it made happy squiggles in my tummy. . . . sorta my precursor to Squeeing.) And then the intensity just kept getting ratcheted up higher and higher. . .

And the little details, the little things--the happy smile that never goes away; the swearing that should be out of place in Italy's mouth, but it -isn't-; the physical damage done to France with Ivan's pipe (nope, not Russia's pipe, -Ivan's- pipe); Italy's whole mini-rant on family

Definitely the most important thing for me in this part was to differentiate it from the last part--mostly by showing that France is not Russia and while he's every bit as amazed to be getting a beat-down from Italy, of all people, he's experiencing the whole thing in a different way. He's a smart, savvy guy, and he's been around this particular block a few times (hard to think of some of what happened during the Hundred Years War as anything but England gratuitously working him over). Where Russia never stopped trying to fight back because strength is what he's always relied on, France understands that the best thing to do is to keep his mouth shut and take it, and plot his revenge for later.

I'm as ready as the next person to portray France as a goofy, bitchy pervert, but it was fun to have an excuse to show another side of him.

When i read part 1, i had an irrational urge to laugh at Russia (sorry...im slightly psychotic...). When i read this, i had another irrational urge to laugh at France, and this time i didn't hold it back~

Mafiatalia is just so yandere, and, and, oh i have so much to say but it's 10.42pm now and i've got a lit test tmr morning so unfortunately i can't write any damn long comments to show how much i love this.
