Somehow, reading this again . . . makes it even better. ^___^

I'm really not sure what the differences are between the prompts/summaries/blurbs of parts 1 and 3, but I'm honestly positive that if I had started with this one, I never would have read the rest. Meh, I'm weird like that.

I still love how left-field this is, and yet plausible. Italy is still talking like Italy, but he's also talking like a wise-guy out of so many old movies . . . Knowing what was coming this time, I imagined a 'stock mafia' voice . . . and it fit with Italy's speech patterns--like accents and pauses and such. But it's also chillingly beautiful to see the allusion to the future Russian Mafia . . . just wow.

Ah~ still loving this. ^_^ :skips off to read next part:

I don't think it's weird to be put off by the blurb for part 1--I definitely knew when I sat down to this that it wasn't going to be for everybody (I had pretty serious doubts that it would be for anybody). By part 3 I knew I was writing a "proper" story, like with a plot and an (upcoming) ending, so I think it has a different pace/presentation from the very start.

I'm really glad you like the story--and I'm kinda thrilled that you got the allusion to the Russian mafia. XD

That . . . . actually makes sense. It was odd, because this one felt like violence for the sake of violence--and after seeing the initial request, I understood why. XD The later one with America, well let's be honest, I'm American, so I could identify a little better with what was happening (however mama's family is Italian {among other things}, so it was going both ways for me >3 ). Also the historical notes gave me the kind of grounding that I needed to enjoy/understand what was going on ( ... )

Oh, wow, it's so great to read your thoughts on this! Thank you for sharing!

Definitely, part 1 and part 2 are pretty much violence for the sake of violence. It didn't take much work to set the mood--I just had to set up Russia and France to be believably astonished, and that's not hard (it's hard to imagine anything but a reaction of astonishment to Feliciano with a lead pipe).

Setting up America to be intimidated and cowed, though, was a lot more interesting to write, and needed some foreplay. I was worried people wouldn't like part 3 because there was so much build-up and Alfred internal monologue-ing, but since Italy actually wanted something from him, America had to be in the right mindset before I could get into the smutty, smutty violence. If I didn't sell that he was actually scared of Mafiatalia and genuinely believed that he might kill England, the whole section would have fallen flat ( ... )

Gods I loved the brutal ways Italy used. Never underestimate the small ones! And shit, this was just as good as any sex scene, I literally gleed the whole time reading it. And all the Russian and Italian words...Makes it just the better~
Teehee, up to part 2 *_*

I reviewed the last chapter after I finished reading it, but also, the title of this fic makes me melt into a puddle of "aww". (That's kind of twisted, but I own my weirdness.)

No, it is kind of sweet! ...In a way. XD You know, the same way that beating up everybody who looks at your partner funny is sweet.
