The last time I posted Hetalia portraits to the comm, I got a bunch of people asking me how I draw, so this time I figured I'd, like...have something that could actually answer that?

So here's how I draw! I'm sure it's not the best way, but it works okay for me. Prussia will serve as my lovely assistant.

Oh, I forgot to mention, I kinda like the 'brooding' feel in this piece. Prussia contemplating with a cig looks utterly hot.

Thanks! I think somewhere in the conceptualization of this drawing, I forgot that I was drawing Prussia and decided to draw it like he was Marlon Brando.

This was really, really interesting because hair and eyes are always my biggest challenges when coloring, and your method has gorgeous results. Quick question - you said you used an angled rectangle brush for the first step. And, um, whut? 8DDD;

It's a custom brush, but it's just a...rectangle, set at about at 70 degree angle. So, not straight up and down. Er. That is kind of unclear, isn't it...

Actually, it makes perfect sense. I totally know what you mean, and I think one just like that exists in PSP, but I just need to engage my sleep-deprived mind to get one into Photoshop. Oh boy.
