England really starts to come off as the world's Cassandra, at a certain point.

Oh England. You bastard.

(Never mind the fact that hindsight proves him right. Or something.)

Hey, everyone else has gotten to backstab Russia. England figures maybe it's his turn!

Didn't he do that the last time? Does it alternate? England, then someone else, then England again?

Really, he comes out less 'listen-I-know-what-I'm-talking-about' and more 'no-you-can't-have-any-other-friends-but-me' to America. But I think that was the effect you were going for, isn't it?

I really, really want America to be right, but he isn't, so now I'm sad. Dammit, Iggy, why, when you're right, do I have to hate you?!

God, I know, right? I always want to just diverge suddenly into an AU, all "And then Stalin totally just died! And Russia decided to give back all those countries, and then there were flowers and sunshine and hot sex forever! The end!"

Why does England have to be such a bastard when he's right? God, this makes me feel so sad for Alfred. ;-;

But I LOVE how you write these two~. <3

"Because I've seen him with his clothes off," America snapped.
I snorted fer real there. I didn't think he'd actually say it. xD

Neither did I, seriously, but then I was like, "Wait a minute, why is he hiding it?" XD

Because he doesn't want his papa to know he's screwing the enemy? >o>

B-by the way, thanks for the add. <3

America, circa 1945: "He's not the enemy! Maybe we can work something out!"

America, circa 1947: "...*sigh*"

And, of course! I really liked that story you wrote and, and yeah. =D

Man I just love America/England table talk, they're so flippant about the saddest issues ("maybe get some of his people to lay off starving so much"). xD Also America calling Stalin Uncle Joe is maybe the best thing ever. Anyways, their convos are always so fun to read because they're really, really argumentative. Unnecessarily. Like real family members, almost (also their past relations always manage to shine through, which is funny because to my knowledge, British people today don't seem to even remember the American Revolution).

Characterization is breathtaking as usual. I'm really curious as to how you guys would write the other countries, Japan especially since Hiroshima and Nagasaki are coming up, but this IS America/Russia centric, so it's alright.

Maybe you already knew this, but that really is what they called him! Even Roosevelt! There's all these quotes of Roosevelt being like "Relax, I know how to handle Uncle Joe." XD

Believe me, my aversion to US/UK is strong enough that I'd love to write them as essentially indifferent/familial to each other in the modern day, but I guess I'm technically supposed to be writing fanfic, and I think the crush/failure to get over it is pretty obviously canon at least on England's side. =/
