Today's listorama

So much for a restful time - Sloth-Kate has not yet appeared, it seems. However, I object that I have had to set an alarm for every morning so far :(

List of things to do )

Ugh! Dead possum! The worst we've had from matchiko the Wonder Cat[TM] is a bogong moth or two, and a fair bit of puke.

'listorama' sounds like something from Red Dwarf. Or am I too much of a nerd?

Yep, this one was a ring tail that was almost as big as him. I don't know how he does it - he has bells on and everything. The previous night he brought in a large mouse (or small rat, I wasn't sure at 4:20am), but I managed to shoo him out the catflap with it before he settled in to feast. It's not like he doesn't get enough to eat here! We thought he'd stopped catching things, as it had been about 6 months since the last kill. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr bloody cat

Pixie has been eating a rabbit or two per day since I got here. Not that they are hard to find. It looks like the entire of Northern Tassie is covered in rabbits this year.

Looks like your list is going well!

Yep, I'm exhausted, and I'm about to hop in the shower to do the dot point "go out drinking"...

Dad is currently painting the linen cupboard, and has done the undercoat on our wardrobe. And all the contents are all over the girls' room! It's a pigsty, but a productive clean one. You should see the bathroom, it's shiny. Really shiny!

I've just re-arranged the lounge room (again), as I'll be sleeping there tonight to be a bit further away from the paint fumes. I thought I should make up the bed _before_ I head out :D

I have done so much vacuuming. I hate vacuuming. With a passion. I've finally de-cobwebbed our room too. How long have I been asking you to do that?!

Hmmm..de-cobwebing. I finally did the pergola and front doorstep, but the house is an ongoing battle with the daddy long legsses. You get rid of one, and another two set up shop. *sigh* Comes of living surrounded by parklands, I think. Or maybe we're just grots.

That's interesting, because both my mother and I have noticed a huge number (many more than usual) of foxes, both in SA and in Victoria. They've been getting them in Panorama (inner foothills of Adelaide) in large numbers, which is very unusual, and we saw heaps as roadkill (very distinctive) on the way back from SA at Christmas, whereas usually we just see roos.

Odd.
