New Year's Eve

For the last few days my Dad has been here in Japan with me. We stayed at my apartment for a night, but then came into Tokyo. I've been showing him around and tiring him out, hahaha.

I hated New Year's in England - it was overpriced and just an excuse to get drunk and cause trouble.

Oshougatsu is such a different event though. It's hard to believe it's the same day.

But my mother just said even Oshougatsu in Japan has changed a lot. It's simpler and less personal now. :/
