I wrote an entry last week about how the second year students in one of my high schools (Katsuyama) wanted to talk about GACKT in their English lessons with meI joked that I was going to base the English syllabus around GACKT

Haha, Gackt is everywhere. Yes I agree that getting into fandoms can help you with kids, my children's friends are very impressed I know Bleach and Naruto, and that I can throw an (american) football very far.

Man, your school's sounding more and more like a GACKT heaven.

You know, I think there might be two reasons why students feel closer to you when they know about your GACKT-fangirling-WIFE double life.
One is what you said, and the other is because you love a JAPANESE artist. It probably makes them feel at ease with you and on a more....equal level from that perspective, too. =3
