I can't just drop classes and change program. I just can't. I'm not a quiter. Even if I fail, I'll probably end up spending 8 years in college trying to pass all the classes and re-taking them.
I know I like art, but I'm being realistic. Art will make me have fun in school but then I'll stress about money for the rest of my life (most likely). If I ( Read more... )

You might not regret it, you don't know you will.. everything could turn out fine<3.

And are you considering specific fields for art? I think there are more job opportunities than you seem to be thinking of.. it's so vast, there's advertising, designing web sites, books, cd covers, comics, business cards, etc etc.

I think if you really enjoy it, and you're not set on one specific side of it, you might still have job opportunities there.

Not to be like "omg, give up on science nao.", definitely not. Just don't completely give up on art either.

Also.. just sayin', how would you ever feel about teaching? My 2D Design teacher is a legit artist, he has his work in an art gallery/museum in the city and teaches us. So that's yet another opportunity :).

I'm painfully shy in front of an audience. and each time I try to teach someone, I end up being a huge pile of OMGGGGG WHY DON'T YOU GET IT?! ITS SOOOO EASY!!!! XDDD patience is not part of me?
I don't think teaching is for me.

and I know that art is a wide field but...big companies don't need 56 artists for advertising. they need 2 or 3. =/ its a wide field but not many jobs that pay very well.
