So I’m pretty sure this idea’s been done to death. But I still wanna, you know? Just so I can go “yay, I wrote apocafic!” and all. And if there was ever a better time to do it in the SPN canon, I don’t know. Hope you enjoy!

EEE! Bethy, this is lovely, lovely, lovely. You put Dean's corpse in a freezer, too, and brought him back as a demon (which I love), and scary Sam is scary, yeah?

I would go through the whole OMFGYAY!!!!!111!!1/tacklehugs/glomps/etc thing, but I know how you are about human contact, even of the metaphorical, internets variety... so yeah.

Apocafic yay!

That's because Sam is like John--once he sets his mind on a definite goal, he abandons all sense of right and wrong to accomplish it. I mean, remember when he was gonna use Benton's methods to extend Dean's life? I figure this is just an exaggeration of that same focused insanity.

Anyway, thanks for reading and commenting!

Broken, broken boys …

Good, stark depiction of what could happen if Sam tapped into those powers and was driven by nothing but getting Dean back, was OK with all the casualties along the way. And it definitely hurts to think of Dean so unlike the old Dean, and Sam changed, too.

Favorite lines:

Nicely, creepily phrased.

it’s not like he stayed dead-why should Dean?

I love the simplicity of his logic here. It makes sense that he’d think this way, that with everything they’ve been through and all the times they’ve cheated death, there’d have to be a way back for Dean.

When he awoke three hours later there were crusts of dried blood circling both of his nostrils and nobody at all in a four-room radius.

Eek!

And Dean tried to claw his face off when he awoke, eyes tinged with oily black. It was a madman’s reaction, a brainless thing’s reaction.

This image makes me hurt.

And he turns Johnny Cash up as loud as the speakers will go, listens to a long-gone ( ... )

*Oh*, wow, that's totally creepy and utterly lovely. They're both so completely screwed. I love Sam's single-minded *need*, and how everything else simply burns away until there's nothing at all but 'Dean'.

And then those moments of panic, and Dean's hatred of the cities...
*shivers*

Wonderful.
