Ah, my second Supernatural story. Ever since the end of “Bloody Mary,” I’ve wanted to write a Sam/Jess piece. I finally got around to it. I also love that it's from Jess's point of view. I really liked seeing Sam through her eyes. I like how you start before they're together, and go through key points in their relationship and how it develops.

I loved this. Second-person is always kind of an uphill battle, but you carried it off really well. And this was just generally beautiful, sweet and sad and funny and totally in character for Sam, as well as a lovely fleshing-out of what we know of Jess. And the last lines are just... ow. I don't usually write in second person, but I started of that way with this story and by the time I realized what I was doing it was too late to go back and change it all. I'm so glad you thought I pulled it off decently.
And I'm thrilled that people are identifying with Sam through Jess. That was kinda my intention, but I wasn't sure if that was going to get through in my writing. I'm unreasonably giddy that it worked.
And your name, by the way? Totally awesome. Brynn's my mother's name, and I've never met anyone else who had it spelled the same way before. Hee!
