things are looking bleak on the graduate school front. having said that, i feel better. in the meantime, the rejection list lengthens.

Save your despair until everyone has replied! And then keep saving it, because you can try again. Grad school acceptances are not an accurate reflection of your worth as a person or an English scholar.

Thank you for reminding me of that. Hopefully, I can now stop moping and start writing my essays.
