Obviously, I have a huge post in me, but I have not uploaded my photos from my trip to Monterey yet, so that'll have to wait until this evening (sorry Erin! I'm a tool!)

But I do have a few comments and questions...

1. Does anyone have recommendations on how to get suites at a Las Vegas middle-of-the-strip hotel?

1. I would check Expedia or Hotels.com for package deals...we've gotten suites that way, especially if it's not for a big holiday weekend.

2. The video IPod changed my life. Get ready to be revolutionized. :) Seriously...you will love it.

3. Jealous that you got to meet Erin. She sounds pretty awesome, too.

4. Happy to hear that Ellie is still cute. Wouldn't expect anything less.

I'm no help with hotels, wish I could be. Are you still going on the 19th of January--I know that a few of us LJers could be there that weekend!

yeah, still on the 19th and no hotel plans yet. argh! we do have our eye on a suite at the venetian, so hopefully that'll work out.

It was SO FUN to meet you! And Ellie! And yes, she was grumpy, but still so very cute.

Silly me, I was so excited about meeting you that I left my headlights on, and came back to a dead car battery! I guess there are worse places to be stuck for an hour or two getting triple A arrangements straightened out, though :-). I got a lot of shopping done. :-) Such a nice day!

we went through a southwest package we found online. we priced the hotel & flight separately just to make sure it was truly a deal. then we actually booked the package through a local travel agent. didn't cost anymore, but we thought we'd have more recourse if something was bunk. the trip turned out great. just southwest's luggage handling sucked, but otherwise it was lovely. we stayed at the mirage, but i remember they had lots of hotel choices.
