I'm glad it went well! I hope you have a great teaching experience. Is this your first online class? I was in the hiring process for U of P, but then my recruiter inexplicably stopped answering emails, so I'm assuming I'm done there.
It's with U of P - it's strange that the recruiter for U of P wouldn't tell you if she/he thought you were unsuitable. They don't seem shy like that. Maybe another email or perhaps you should apply again. That recruiter could no longer be there or something.
I think they could use some English and writing teachers. The recruiter told me that when (bless her, she said "when") I get published, I just needed to let her know and they would qualify me to teach writing, too.
But I think they use an MFA or publishing credits to determine if a person is qualified.
U of P is very, very big on giving students good writing skills.
It pays $1435 for a nine-week class and you can teach up to 4 classes concurrently. I think that works out to 20 or so classes a year.
