What could possibly... "AAH!" Eyes wide, his own voice echoed through the night. Body stiffening at the impact, muscles in X's entire body contracted in response, effectively crushing his comm device in his now clenched hand now bloody from its tiny fragments. Wide eye's watched the blur erupt from his torso followed by a bead line of his own blood before clenching together tightly in pain.
The pain. It was like nothing he had ever felt. X hit the graveled roof heavily on his knees, kneeling a few moments before crumpling silently onto the threshold of the roof.
Eyes clouded with pain opened slightly. So much blood. His blood. Pulling together his strength, X attempted to push himself up. You can handle this.. His efforts greeted him with the pain increasing exponentially. Perfect shot he ( ... )

Jade smirked slightly as she hit her target, lowering the gun as X slumped to the ground. The assassin opened the door wide enough for her to step through, and her heels clacked lightly against the roof as she made her way over to her victim.
Hm. Still breathing. Oh well. Jade knew he would be dead soon anyway, so she felt no need to bother shooting him once more.
"Disappointing," she murmured, more to herself than anything. "I thought you might actually be a challenge." The obsidian-haired young woman shrugged slightly as she turned, and started back towards the stairwell.
Well. That had been boring.

After helping Stefan and seeing William, Malchora didn't know what to think. But the same pathological fear of what the day always brought kept her thinking in her apartment all day, muttering the spells she memorised to herself, hoping she wouldn't need to use them. Though she had a feeling she would, and the feelings hadn't been wrong before. She is deathly worried about X.
Speaking of...Malchora looks up to hear the notification on her computer and walks over to the glowing screen in the darkness of her apartment.
the day is over malchora. nothing happened. told u nothing 2 worry about. -x
Seeing the message from him made her stomach flip; she wanted to hear from him, but it worried her nearly sick to see it at the same time. The isn't over, not yet, and she was begging the seconds to pass more quickly. That's when it hit her ( ... )

Grim reality suddenly seeping back into his psyche, X again felt the intense pain piercing through his body. Writhing momentarily, Red X's eyes slid hazily open. He could hear voices, no.. one voice. But far away, echoing. Coughing violently, the pain surged through him with each punch of his diaphragm. He could feel the spatter as the mask contained the small amount of blood being ejected from his throat. Great
That voice again, closer this time... "What?" He coughed weakly. Struggling to focus, dim eyes searched for the source of the voice.
White hair, those blue eyes... "Malchora?"

All thoughts of "I TOLD you this would happen, goddamnit, I TOLD YOU!" are pushed from her mind as she turns Red X over to try and locate the injury. Pulling him over onto her as gently as possible, since she could not lift him, she scans his abdomen. Blood covers her hand as it runs across the wound. Focusing for a moment, the wizardess tries to sense the bullet...
But she can't. Upon opening her her eyes, she feels his blood spilling over her legs and side, where he back was pressed against her. Had he mean shot twice? Pushing him a bit off her, she examines his back...and again, no bullet.
Then, it clicks. He wasn't shot twice, and there was no bullet to be found. One bullet had gone through him. Malchora feels faint for a moment ( ... )

X commanded his arms to reach out, to stop this executioner, the source of this pain. The disobedient appendages dangled below him, useless.
The echoed voice returned to his ears... closer this time. A face was suddenly before him. He struggled again to focus, eyes narrowing in the process.
"Malchora?"

"No X...really...thank you. It's my fault that happened to you, I was glad I could help you. If you had never met me or put up with me, it would never had happened in the first place."

He turned back towards the bike, or rather the bushes and apparent debris hiding the bike. "You're the reason I'm still here." He said over his shoulder.
What had he overlooked? How could he have missed this? The thought disturbed him. Of the countless contracts and bounty's placed on his head throughout the years, he had met each head on or thwarted them in some fashion. This one he never saw coming...
(( lol, hmm... "Mr. Thoughtful" I like the sound of that XD ))

"Well I'm glad you're still here."
Having been used to the motorcycle routine by now (and sorry Roy...X still has better abs than you :P), she waits to accept a helmet from him.

Sliding onto the bike, X revved the engine with a twist of the handle. Moments later they sped from the alley straight onto the street. Her grip on him was different now, somehow. It felt different.
The surprisingly light traffic was a welcome addition to the high speed trip to Malchora's apartment. Having memorized the location, it took no time at all.
