Ah! My real name is Belinda, so it was quite a shock to see your post title, I was like - 'huh?' :)

This new LP sounds awesome! I've always loved her voice.

Yay! Another Belinda fan! You don't know how much shit I cop for liking her! Only from people with no taste though! My ex-housemates thought I was a total dickhead because I liked her and gave me hell everytime I played one of her CDs. Oh, good news for you too - if you don't already have them, all her albumns are on sale for $9 each at JB hi-fi at the moment. Stock up!
Happy Bday BTW - sorry I missed you at Blue Velvet the other night. I came, but I left cos I just couldn't be bothered that night! X

I read one or two good reviews. What's so weird about an album of chansons? I'd be interested to hear it - apparently she did quite a good job on the French language.

Yeah I agree, some people have a weird concept of 'weirdness'.
I'll burn a copy for you when I get it if you like. I tried to get it yesterday at JB but they dont have it :(

I'm proud of you for being true to yourself in stilla fter all these years, admitting to like her.
She does have a great voice though.

The new album does indeed sound weird. Does she live in Europe now or something? Is she still on coke????

Awwww thanks darls! Yeah, she's been living in France for the last six years or so - probably why she sings it well. I love listening to Debbie Harry sing in french as well. It's helped me learn to say a bit more than "100 bucks an hour", which is what Alex's brother taught me to say, and then told me I was all set to go to France and I didn't need to learn another word ( ... )
