Sixty-First Journal Entry

To keep my communicator from shocking me, I have a puzzle for everyone.

12 people are traveling in two cars that can each hold six people -- five passengers and the driver. However, one hour away from their destination, one of the cars breaks down. Using the car that is left, how long will it take to get all 12 people to the destination?

communicator, yay puzzles

You didn't know either XD? puzzledprof February 20 2011, 11:05:15 UTC
Former professions don't come up often here, unless they are useful to our survival, I'm afraid.

Nope! I've never played the games or anything. |DD battledancing February 20 2011, 16:39:04 UTC
Hmm, that's true. Though in a place like Discedo, I think there's a lot people like us could learn. [No, really. The entire place is a city in shiny ruins.]

Whenever I see that icon, all I can think is "boobs". Also, you should play them they're awesome. puzzledprof February 20 2011, 18:28:40 UTC
I'm sure if I had any scholarly interest in the place, it would be fascinating... but I'm more concerned with finding a way home.

... you're the second mun to react like that, sob. ALSO I PLAN TO. battledancing February 20 2011, 19:10:42 UTC
So am I. But who's to say the answer to that doesn't lie in Discedo's past? We hardly know anything about these scientists or what kind of artifact they employed in bringing so many people here.

it's not our fault those are nice boobs :( also yay :) puzzledprof February 20 2011, 19:25:06 UTC
Well, yes, I've been using that argument in my study of the place. But it is still a practical interest.

it is your fault your eyes are not focusing elsewhere, though 8| battledancing February 21 2011, 14:30:33 UTC
Of course. Although I have to admit, practical interest aside, I can't help but feel compelled to investigate. The creatures in this world, for instance, are nothing like Pokemon.

Do you mean the "monsters", or the native life? Some of them are quite similar to what we have at home.

pervert people ;_; battledancing February 22 2011, 15:07:39 UTC
The "monsters", yes. If you have anything like those back in your world, wouldn't that make it a dangerous place?

We do have dangerous wild animals, but none with supernatural abilities, and they usually stay in the wilder places of the world.

But I have heard that many of the monsters here come from our worlds, just as we have.

8| also, Layton just reminded me I need to ask the mods about something 8D battledancing February 22 2011, 16:15:45 UTC
Ah, I see. Definitely unlike Pokemon, then.

I had never heard that before, though! I do suppose it makes sense.

Ah, what are Pokemon like?

If wild Pokemon are eligible as disco monsters 8D battledancing February 23 2011, 02:53:49 UTC
Well, all Pokemon have different abilities, to begin with-- and while most of them live in wilder places, some of them can freely inhabit big cities, as well.

lol puzzledprof February 23 2011, 13:04:33 UTC
I see. What about humans in your world, do they have any of the abilities that Pokemon have?

If they do, it's not something widely divulged. Although there are some Psychic-type trainers who claim to have psychic powers as well.
