Uchi was feeling rather high after spending several hours at Black Diamond. He managed to win four times the money he had brought to play several rounds of poker. He was very happy that he still has his talent or else he would end up like a classmate from his high school days which he met three days back ( ... )

Nocchi watched with wide eyes as the person walked closer, feeling her cheeks heat up when she realized that he was heading towards the bar. It couldn't be him, she thought, her heart constricting and her mouth drying up, her throat hitching. The DJ quickly turned away when the male finally sat down, thanking the club for being so dark as the flush on her cheeks turned an even brighter pink.

After waiting for what seemed like centuries, but was probably only a few minutes, Nocchi cleared her throat and hesitantly turned in her seat to face the newcomer. It had been two years since she had last seen her first love, so the person that she thought was him could just be a look-a-like, but Nocchi had to make sure. "Ano...excuse me for being so rude, but what's your name?"

Uchi turned his attention to the lady who suddenly spoke with him, a little surprised that the other was very direct with her questions, not even bothering to deal with hi's and hello's first before striking up a conversation with a random stranger like him. It silenced him a bit but his silence was broken off when the bartender handed him what he had asked for.

"Uchi," he replied casually, hands holding the mug of beer that he ordered near his lips, drinking parts of the bitter drink to wait for what the other was to say next. He thought that she might had something interesting to say to him, bearing in mind that she went for the quick approach to get his name.

"Why do you ask?"

So it is him...

After hearing his answer, Nocchi was torn between beating him up or giving him a hug, but refrained from doing either because she realized that he probably didn't know who she was. Which was a little annoying, but it had been two years since they'd last seen each other. "Ah, sou ka," she muttered softly, nodding to herself as she stared at the glass in her hands, her finger tracing the condensation on the rim of the drink.

"Mm, you just look like someone I knew, that's all," Nocchi answered with a shrug, taking a sip of her icy water. If he really didn't remember who she was then she might as well pretend that they'd never met before, so things wouldn't get awkward. "And besides, it's always surprising to see someone attractive alone, in a night club."
