DAD Y U DO DIS dearmungandr November 18 2011, 00:45:18 UTC
[The woman crawls right into him. Jormungandr is completely baffled. He has managed to avoid the mushrooms today, because he is not the sort to go around eating something just because it's there. Well. Not here, anyway.

He bends down slightly to look at her. He recognizes her as the same woman he ran into a while ago, the woman he felt like he should have recognized for some reason. He still can't quite tell who she is, but the feeling that he should know her hasn't left.]

[That jolts Loki out of one hallucination into a state of semi-lucidity. Everything around him is still strange, but he is once more in the present, and he's just bumped into --

--Thor. Loki climbs to his feet as fast as he can, taking a nervous step backwards.]

No, Thor, whatever you're thinking, I didn't do it. I didn't! I --

[Jormungandr straightens again. Well he obviously wasn't Thor. Clearly the woman was hallucinating, like some of the others in town he had noticed.

The way she was reacting to him, though, as if he were Thor...

...this was Loki, wasn't it.

Oh no.]

[Loki reacts to something only he can hear with a feral grin.]

...so you make a liar out of me again. Murderer, yes, yes I am. I killed him, and I don't regret it. Do you hear me? I killed him, and you through him, and your family, and your precious Midgard will go up in flames and there's nothing you can do to stop it!

[Today was a bad day to be out on the street, Picky could tell. Most days in Mayfield were a little weird, but this was several degrees weirder. And unpleasanter. People were wandering around, screaming and shouting at nothing! He was giving them all a wide berth, it wasn't his problem, he didn't want to get in trouble...

But there was the strong guy, Jormungandr, with some poor lady.

Familiarity plus inherent goodness added up to stopping and edging closer.]

H-hey! Is she... is she okay?

[Loki is sitting on the ground, arms wrapped around his stomach. When Picky approaches, he glares.]

You can't say anything I haven't heard before.

[Jormungandr stands a few feet away, keeping an eye on her. When Picky approaches and asks his question he shakes his head.

No. She's not okay. But he doesn't know how to fix it other than making sure Loki doesn't hurt himself.]

[That glare makes him back up a step. It was a heck of a glare.

His eyes snapped back to the big guy.]

If she's not okay... maybe she should be inside. Or lying down. Or at the hospital?

D'you need help...?

[While Loki had been way less reluctant to leave the house as he'd been at first, Ivy had still been surprised to not find him around the house. She hadn't thought much about it though- he's a grown up 'man', he can take of himself.

...That's it, until he finds him around the city. Ivy's not new to this, she knows a high person when she sees it. She's been high herself, plenty of times. And Loki seems to be having kind of a bad trip... so he approaches the red-headed woman with a loud sigh, ignoring Jormungandr.]

You, dear, are making a fool of yourself. Come with me, I'll take you home.

[Upon hearing Ivy speak, Loki lets out a growl.]

Enough! You've made a fool of me for the last time. I'll kill you. I'll kill you!

[He lunges towards Ivy, murder in his eyes. He's weaponless, and fortunately isn't thinking clearly enough to use his fire.]

[Jormungandr had been standing back a bit, keeping an eye on Loki, but as soon as he lunged toward Ivy, the seemingly relaxed-looking young man springs forward and seizes Loki by the shoulders, holding him back.]

[Ivy isn't afraid of being beaten up. There was no way Loki was a more skilled fighter than Batman- if only because it was Batman. Loki's fire powers, though? She was terrified of them. And while Loki had promised not to do that to her ever again... he didn't seem to be aware of her surroundings at this very moment.]

What is wrong with him?! What's going on?
