Financial advisor or real estate lawyer recommendation?

May 28, 2014 15:42

Does anyone happen to know a real estate lawyer that you'd be willing to recommend? Peter and I have encountered a situation with our mortgage and I expect we could benefit with either financial and/or legal advice so if anyone still reading has anyone they could recommend, I'd be deeply appreciative.

Thank you!

Still reading, but afraid I have no advice to offer. Good luck.

My parents might know someone; I'll ask and let you know if they do. *hugs*

Oh, and B and I used a real estate lawyer just for advice when we were deciding what to do about the Jasper house. I'll ask B if he feels he can recommend him. He gave us solid advice, but we didn't have a very complicated situation.

We talked with Erik Gravink at Rossi, Hamerslough, Reischl and Chuck (www.rhrc.net) about strategic defaulting. They're happy to do per-hour advising, but run $300-400/hr.

In our case, we wanted a clearer picture of what our options were, what the bank's options were, and how we might successfully extract ourselves from a deeply-underwater mortgage.
