UMMM i am not the only one who would feel a little awkward if a student somehow got a hold of my cell phone number and decided to call me, am i

Nope, you're not the only one who thinks the cell phone thing is really awkward/creepy. I didn't even keep a facebook page while I was TA-ing, because I didn't want my students able to contact me or follow me. I figured that my friends would know how and where to find me, and my students did not need to have any fucking idea. Boundaries, people. Get some, geeze.
As for plagarism, I always came down way hard on those kids, and the university always supported me on it. I get the feeling you're not in the same situation, which is just sad. They're not doing those kids any favors if they get athletic scholarships, then in their freshman year run into a bitch TA like me who will take their ass to the cleaners. It just sucks that they're being allowed to get away with it.
(I'll be cheering on the Flyers! I don't really have anything invested in the game, but after all the crap the Flyers have gone through with their goalies, I really want to see them get it together and do well just to spite everyone.)
i have no idea how the student got my number =/ so many awkward turtles. thank god it was brief...lol (i didn't even ask how the student got it; just said hello, please to be losing my number and see you in school tomorrow)
i DO come down hard on the kids. it doesn't matter how many papers i put "0"'s on or how many times i've written "wow you're so knowledgeable! like wikipedia! oh wait...." i've warned them multiple times that in college (iffen they even MAKE it that far; don't get me started on the whole "high schools that work" deal...i will capslock forever and ever) it will NOT be tolerated. they will get a zero in the class and expelled. and they kind of just stare at me... *hands*
(WE DID IT! THIS WAS THE CLOSEST THING TO FLAWLESS PLAY WE'VE HAD PROBABLY ALL SEASON! YOU ARE A GOOD AND NICE PERSON AND YOUR VOTE HELPED! *smish*)
