Coronation Preparation

My dress for Coronation is 16.6 pounds. That's without the sleeves. I am actually beginning to wonder if I can wear this all day.

I guess it's a good thing we are not staying for feast. Not only is it too much for Charlie, and has a fish course which means Husband Mine is out, but I think I'll need the break to sit down for a bit!

if your coronation dress is along the lines of tudor into elizabethan, i can understand the 16.6 lbs weight....especially if you include a bumm-roll. having once been seduced by the dark side of the cloth, ;), and once did a nice transitional piece with bumm-roll, i can say it does get uncomfortable cause you do have to stand alot...sitting can be done, but you're on the very edge of a chair. other than that, carrying that 16 lbs is distributed evenly and you shouldn't notice the weight.
i'm with broch on the fish-thing. echh!
