Obama speaks

Thanks to allergy induced nausea (it has NOT been a good week... and it's not even Wednesday), I missed Obama's speech, and I'm catching the re-runs. It's funny, it's almost always been a senator or congressman to respond to the President. The Republicans are betting on their governors to be the next generation of party leaders...which puts them in a conundrum with regards to accepting help from the stimulus bill. A nice side benefit of the stimulus package.

Not just governors, but Jindal in specific. Bobby Jindal is supposed to be one of the "rising stars" of the Republican party (or sometimes even its saviour). Which, given his pathetic performance last night, is really, really sad. The Republicans, late to the party as usual, have decided that multi-racial/different-racial is in, and Jindal's father was an Indian immigrant. He's good looking, and he's supposed to be whip smart (late to the party again, guys!), but damn that boy needs some serious public speaking classes if he's ever going to have a chance against the amazing oratory of Barack Obama.

Jindal sucked ass.

Obama was amazing. I nearly cried. I love the fact that he has strong morals. It makes the Republicans look worse.
