It doesn't sound like you enjoyed the book at all. Is it worth reading?

I did enjoy the book. It's just different from anything I've read before - messy and odd and it's so deep that I have trouble comprehending it. Because, of course it has that level of just 'what the hell is this' but every time I just read it like that I feel like I'm missing the main message.

It's definitely a "reread when you're older and understand these things better."
