I've had a really hard time understanding the Sudan conflict, and I don't think it's due to a lack of effort on my part. Media coverage is sporadic and often betrays biases and the issues themselves are muddled by too many groups with too many competing interests. I understand the trust argument for not voting, and I guess that one frustrates me somewhat less. To me there's a difference between saying "hey, I like all the candidates; I like politics as usual; things will be cool so I don't need to vote!" and saying "shit, I can choose between bad and worse, see you later, bitches."
Global economy == someone's going to be selling weapons for conflict == (I believe) international conflict. There's a statement made when a arms deal is made.
