As promised, some photos of our flat and my fabulous pumpkin.
Behold, our flat. This is half of the main room, which holds the kitchen, obviously.
My decorating style prevails, hence the flowers and purple table cloth. And pumpkin!
Door leads to hallway, which in turn leads to outer door, bathroom, airing cupboard and bedroom.
Admire our fabulous 15" television! Cheapest in Argos, hurrah.
Outside the window is a balcony, which is pretty nifty except we haven't got a key for the door yet.
His'n'hers sofas - his has a guitar, mine has a purple throw and colourful cushions.
The books in our transparent coffee table. Anyone who knows us can tell who owns which books.
Most of the dvds and books on there are his, and the guitar and steroe are also his. The glass vases, artificial flowers and felt heart are mine.
Himself, playing Pro-Evo and telling me about an amusing task set in work.
Featuring my half of the bedroom only, as his is dominated by huge pile of clothes that threatens to take over the world. It's annoying, but then again, I did claim the only wardrobe in the room so he is still living out of a suitcase.
The boxes on the chair hold my craft stuff, and my large collection of BUTTONS.
Sneak peak of the bathroom, again divided into his'n'hers toiletries.
Pumpkin carving in process!
Someone didn't floss regularly.
The candles are sitting on the steps to the balcony, as due to lack of key issues they make good decoration spaces.
It was so much easier to upload those photos using html than using the rich-text editor. Nothing beats the old "copy-and-paste"!
Highlight of work today was feeling suspicious and turning to see my manager on the phone with my semi-manager, even though they are about two metres apart in adjacent offices. When I asked my manager why, he admitted to being too lazy to even type an email. Various communication methods were suggested for the future - two tins on a string, paper planes, and my personal favourite - a toy train set steaming around the office taking notes from one to another.
New skills acquired today include loading staples into a photocopier (they are flat staples!) and printing address labels onto sticky sheets. Also mail merge, but I'm getting quite good at that. I made my own Excel spreadsheet too - hurrah for mathematical equations!
Our flat is really cold, but we're very tight with money at the moment so refuse to put the heating on until at least November. The laptop is currently my main source of heat. Brr.
