I've decided to try keeping a journal again. Since I finished university I seem to have a lot more free time. I still read a lot of my friends' journals and I miss writing my own, so here we go again.

In short: I finished university in June, went home for a few months, and am now back in Manchester living in a little flat with James. I've been ( Read more... )

It's very good to hear from you again, and good to hear you're well! What does the job actually involve?

Um, I'll find out on monday? The induction was somewhat vague. Lots of admin and helping lost students I think. Someone smirked at me yesterday when I said I was working in admin like it was something shameful, but then I awoke this morning to more tales of gloom and economic despair on the radio and suddenly I don't care. I'm just clinging on to any job I can find, and the only other option was Marks and Spencer!

Five People you Meet in Heaven is quite a good book. It made me cry though, so be forewarned. The rest I don't know about.
Hurrah for a job, but yes, I agree with Iona, please tell us more!

I generally quite like books that make me cry. It's good for the soul, or something.
As I said above - I'll find out more about the job on monday, but it's mostly administration. I don't have enough job experience to know what all the technical terms mean, but I guess computer typing and spreadsheets, and lots of photocopying.

Good to have you back! I think Livejournal (like most internet things) is something that you can hammer for a while and then leave only to pick it up at a later date! I've even started regularly posting and have userpics I was forced into while you've been on hiatus!

I'm in the same job situation as you, any job will do or it'll be a very lean Christmas! Congratulations on finding one!
