I lost a flute student tonight.  No, not in a permanent way - she's alive and well.  Rebecca has decided to quit flute lessons again.  She quit earlier this summer when she thought maybe she wanted to take up the clarinet.  Now she's quitting because she wants to concentrate on her competitive ice skating.  I'm actually quite OK with this turn of

Yup, I like your long-term perspective on her life. And hopefully she's learning in the meantime to do a few things well, and not do everything halfway. (A lesson I could use myself, sometimes!)
