Cow on a stick!

Jul 03, 2008 09:32

On Monday afternoon Wayne and I went to the Kutztown Pennsylvania Dutch Folk Festival.  What a blast!  We ate from one end of the fair to the other, starting with a roast beef sandwich sliced from a whole cow cooked on a spit.  So when I saw "cow on a stick," I don't mean a skewered slice of beef, I mean a gigantic cow, run through with a metal ( Read more... )

OMG I wouldn't have been able to probably eat more than a few bites of kettle corn after eating a roast beef sandwich, much less everything else! That's what I hate at county & renaissance faires though is that I have to decide what 1-2 things I want out of so many delicious looking options! I wish I could just eat it all! :) I don't know how I would react to seeing the whole cow hooked up on there though. The old me would've thought it was BITCHIN' and would have roasted him myself but I've gone soft in my old age & become way too sensitive! Especially when it comes to animals.

That's funny about naming your fishie Jesus! I like it :) How did you decide on that? Oh and we have a chain of pet stores called Petsmart out here but is the place you went to different than that? Or do you just write it out as Pet Smart for fun? :)

Well, we ate the kettle corn in the car yesterday. We just brought it home with us. For most of the fairs and things we'll but just one of something and split it so we can have more of a variety

I named the fishie Jesus because twice I thought he was dead and he came back to life. It's horrible, I know.

It's Petsmart...I don't know why I put in the space, I'll have to go back and fix it.

I try to mitigate the blasphemy by calling him "Hay-Seuss" instead of the "english" translation.
