Written back in November '05, I think this was my earliest semi-graphic yaoi fanfic ever, but I looked over it recently and reworked it a little, and decided to post it. Enjoy, and as usual, concrit encouraged and appreciated

Indeed! And I can see Hakkai being a bit of a silly drunk, depending on the manner in which he gets drunk. If he's depressed when he's drinking... well, I certainly wouldn't wanna be there... Just as well he had plans for tonight, eh?

whatg happened to hakkai never gets drunk?
unless the drink is something blue
(something that an author might have made up
or flavored straight gin. which i doubt will have any effect on hakkai.)

but that aside, everything else works.
gojyo is hardly the soul of wit....
but he tries (i like the matter of factly way he answered
regarding the water flavor)

I dunno, I think Gojyo is pretty witty, albeit in a sometimes contrived kinda way. Like how he always tries to insert vulgar jokes in at inappropriate times, or how he always tries to rile Sanzo and Goku. The fact that he doesn't do this to Hakkai I think is very telling, and shows how he wants to be more honest with him because Hakkai means more to him than just a friend.

My theory on Hakkai and drunkeness is that je cen't get drunk unless he really wants to, and that in this instance he wanted to get a little bit tipsy so he'd find the courage to make a move on Gojyo, but maybe went a little too far. Though I think blue drinks rule, and Hakkai would probably try everything behind the bar at least once *^_^*

Probably still massive amounts by normal standards, but it's the intention behind the drinking that I think determines whether he gets drunk or not. I guess Hakkai doesn't get drunk normally because he knows it would serve no purpose other than to make him an utter nuisance the next morning - and he wouldn't want that! However, here, he wants to get drunk, so he does.

That was very nice to read a fic where Hakkai is the one to get drunk and make the first move!
Of course Gojyo wouldn't be able to resist that <3
