I. Love. This!

I appreciated the stylistic choices of putting the thoughts Dean doesn't want to have in parenthesis, it worked very well for me to highlight just how much Dean is trying to shove down.

And yet you managed to give a tiny bit of hope at the end!

Oh phew, I'm glad that style worked for you. It just kind of... happened as I was writing so I went with it. Very different from my usual style but what the hell ;)

And I wanted there to be some semblance of hope but nothing over the top--they're both *really* struggling but as long as they're there for each other, they can get through it.

So glad you loved. Thanks for the lovely comment!

Poor boys!! I love Dean's internal dialogue here. Very effective.

Glad it worked for you! It just demanded to be written that way so I crossed my fingers and went with it, haha.

Heartbreakingly Winchester. I loved how everything he was thinking and trying not to think about wove everything together, and it all felt spot on with how they are at the moment.

This was a wonderful coda. Excellently paced, right amount of pathos. I think your experiment paid off.

Thank you, so glad you liked it! I still have hope for these boys so never want to leave them without a tiny bit of it, haha.
