Oh phew, I'm glad that style worked for you. It just kind of... happened as I was writing so I went with it. Very different from my usual style but what the hell ;)
And I wanted there to be some semblance of hope but nothing over the top--they're both *really* struggling but as long as they're there for each other, they can get through it.
Heartbreakingly Winchester. I loved how everything he was thinking and trying not to think about wove everything together, and it all felt spot on with how they are at the moment.
