Perchance to dream (disjointed thoughts on Clara Oswald)

So. Doctor Who. I haven't written anything on here about this season so far, which is unusual. Partly this was because my brain and entire being was consumed by Hamilton for much of the early part of the season, leaving no room for meta, and partly it's because this season has been slightly...I don't know. Calmer? Less overt? I don't know. ( Read more... )

this is The Doctor Who Died. We know that Eleven learned from his Glorious Ponds, the Boy and the Girl Who Waited, and ultimately, on Trenzalore, he became The Doctor Who Waited. Here, we have Twelve mirroring the Impossible Girl, his Woman Twice Dead. Except it's not just twice dead - for either of them - it's billions of lives born and killed and born again.
!!!! I can't believe I didn't see that.

The 'hybrid' is almost certainly not the Doctor, whatever he believes.
Ah, but it's a very ambiguous line. Does he say 'me' or 'Me'? (It would be SO VERY MOFFAT to name Ashildr 'Me' just so he could pull this stunt.)

Finally, a very tongue-in-cheek thought:

The Doctor is furious because the Time Lords got Clara killed.

They're like...

'Yeah, sorry, that wasn't supposed to happen. But - we had a look around and there's literally MILLIONS of her all over the universe. Look, here's another one.'

Ahaha, yes I've really enjoyed all the 'Me' speculation! That would indeed be SO MOFFAT. But it would also be very him to make us THINK it's Me, and then pull THAT rug out...I guess we'll find out in 15 mins! AAAAAAAARGH.
