Grant's near Graduation update

Apr 16, 2007 02:19

I seriously doubt anyone I know reads Livejournal anymore, but here is my post. I'm up late at night after finishing Tricadecathlonomania and doing the schoolwork I neglected so that I could focus so clearly on a 24 hour scavenger hunt. It was great fun with Janel, Nadia, and Nathan, and we ended up winning as well. It was disheartening though, ( Read more... )

I can relate to pretty much everything you said...and that's all I have to say about that.

I used to want to do most of the stuff that you want to do. Like travel and photograph and see the world and make a difference and blah blah blah. Then one day I saw Danica holding Anthony and realized that it was more beautiful than any view from any mountaintop in the world.

You need to seriously reconsider turning your back on what appears to be the best thing in your life right now, just so you can go feel mediocre somewhere else.

Procreation is where it's at.

We obviously have different ideals. I just want to leave time and go DO something. I can't wait around in this place for years, not living up to potential, just because I'm in a relationship and my friends are here. I know you saying "Procreation is where it's at" was in jest, but I'm not ready to be a father, or will be for some time. I have to do something first, whether it be making more than $8/hr and living on my own, or teaching abroad somewhere or travel or whatever. It's the urge to go, and as much as I may want to stay, there is no logical reason why I should.

I need to see Anthony soon, what with him being seven weeks old now.

Hey I'm just saying that you're missing out. Like I said, I used to feel the same way and then I went and made me a baby and he's way better than everything else I wanted to do. Also Danica is wicked awesome and you clearly love this what's her face lady as much as I do mine. Whatever it is you're unsatisfied with isn't going to be fulfilled by changing location. You need to figure out what you want before you go looking for it, or you'll just keep wandering around not doing anything.

My only regret is that Danica isn't in to chicks.

I'm into chicks.

The marshmallow ones.

They're yellow and if I squint they make a "peep" sound.

...why did you unfriend me?

And did I ask this already?

I can't remember.

Fuck.

Well, if I remember correctly (and I may not), it was that one day I checked your journal and couldn't see any of your posts anymore. And then I trimmed my friends page some weeks later and cut out about thirty names. Then I posted before I graduated college, then again in June, and now I haven't logged in since.

But I do want to hear about you. How are you doing these days? Email a reply, let's get it out of this thread.
