Okay okay! As an historian-type person I can understand why most of the things that bother me in period films don’t bother other people, and I can see why people like Luton consider me to be utterly finickity when it comes to some of the things that appear to bug me the most.
But in general my complaints can be split into two categories:

Well, the most obvious thing of all is Kevin Costner being in the film at all ^_^;;; (I really don't like him very much -_-)
they seemed to have forgotten entirely about their British audience.
More likely they don't care very much -_- *thinking of how Swedes and Sweden is depicted in American films with a resigned sigh*

And as to Christian Slater + torture! Heh - it's the only thing in the whole film worth watching!

It seems so -_- 'When you don't want to do tidious research -- just use another country than the US, it's so "exotic" and "far away" that no one is ever going to check the facts up' -__- (sometimes I really do believe that's how they are thinking O_o)
